Antoinette, known to friends as Ann, family as mom, Grandma Tex, Grandma, Granny Annie, passed peacefully at her family’s home on 9-10-21 at the age of 88. The beloved matriarch was preceded in death by her husband Raymond “Ray” Haight, her parents and siblings. She is survived by 4 children including John (Juliette) Jeffries, Ed (Joanne) Jeffries, Mary (James) Serra and Ginger (John) Murphy. She is also survived by many grandchildren: Michelle Jeffries, Christopher Jeffries, Jennifer (Robert) Browning, Jessica (Gordon) Emmanuel, Lauren (Drew) Huckey, RaeAnn Serra, James Serra and Megan (Chris) Henning. She is survived by many great grand children, nieces and nephews.
Antoinette was born in Long Branch, NJ. She and her 4 siblings grew up in Mount Vernon, NY where her immigrant father owned a recycling and trucking company. She was valedictorian of Mount Vernon High School (where she was known as “Tony”) and was a part of the Thespian Society. As a young adult, Ann worked in New York City and attended Columbia University. She and her family moved to Miami, FL in the 1950s where she met her first husband Russell Jeffries (12-5-1933 / 10-31-2015). She raised 4 children in Indian Harbor Beach and Satellite Beach, Florida.
Ann was a career real estate Broker and owned Host Realty of Satellite Beach with her husband Ray who preceded her in death on August 7, 1989. Ann was known as an excellent cook and gardener in addition to being a top producer in real estate. She was known for her beautiful singing voice and her love of orchids. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 12:00pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, Rockledge, FL with a Committal Service to follow at 1:00pm in Florida Memorial Gardens.
