Hermione Jean Lundy passed away peacefully on July 15, 2018 at the age of 96. She was born in “Stockton-on-Tees” in England on September 15, 1921. She joined the Land Army during WWII and worked on a farm in support of the war effort in England. She met Lawrence H. Lundy during the war and married him in 1945. After the war she moved to the states with her husband and had three children. She was a Navy wife and lived in multiple locations including Chicago, Washington State, Hawaii, Maryland, and England. Later in life she lived in Maryland then finally in Brevard County, Florida.
Jean is survived by daughter, Frances Scuteri-Moore and two sons, Jeffery Lundy and Kenneth Lundy. Jean was very devoted to animal welfare and volunteered her time and effort to improving the lives of animals. Many thousands of dogs, cats, and other 4-legged friends had their lives made better during her lifetime. If you would like she would have appreciated a donation to your local Humane Society in her honor.
Family will welcome friends for a celebration of Jean’s life on Saturday July 21, at the Lundy residence at 1765 Via Roma, Merritt Island at 11 am.
