Really miss you, Dad! 
Thankful I had you for 44 of my years on this earth.

I have been looking for Mr Crawford for a number of years. He was my Uncle Robert Daniel's best friends during WWII. They both were in a jeep accident in France 1944. Robert was killed in the accident.  I'm sorry for his families loss.  I have a few of his letters written to Robert.

We enjoyed many days passing away the while chatting with John on the front lawn of his house.  Although we only had the pleasure of knowing him for the last 8 years, we told innumerable people of the amazing neighbor we had who was so much fun and so very interesting to spend time with.  We will truly miss John and wish Yvonne as well as all the kids, grand-kids, and great grand-kids the best in dealing with this loss by surely remembering the incredible person John was.
