Josefina Contreras, age 85, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. She was born on September 18, 1938 to Jose Briseño and Petra Ramos in Las Joyas, Jalisco, Mexico. She was married to Juan Contreras on April 18, 1966.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 infants; a son, Javier Contreras of Rogers; and a daughter, Martina Contreras of Rogers.
She is survived by children, Josefina and Juan Hurtado of Garfield, Margarita and Samuel Hernandez of Rogers, Juan and Mary Contreras of Rogers, Jose and Aaron Marie Contreras of Garfield, Ana Rosa Contreras of Weatherford, TX, 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
She had a passion for cooking and was always eager to feed others. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 10am at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Bentonville.
