OBITUARY

Alene Caroline Agatha Klosky

July 14, 1928November 10, 2020

Alene Caroline Agatha Klosky (Steudle) Alene Klosky, 92, of Roseville, MI, passed away November 10, 2020, in her home. She was born July 14, 1928 in Saline, MI. Her parents were Martin and Selma (Miller) Steudle along with step-father John Steudle. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Warren, MI. Alene was the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who met the challenges of life head-on with great love and determination. She was married to the late Bernard Klosky on January 26, 1950, and will be deeply missed by her children - Barbara (Klosky) and Thomas Booth; Nancy (Klosky) and William Stimac; Joyce (Klosky) and Donald Kortze; her grandchildren - Nicole Booth and Gary Weingarden; Jacqueline VanNiman; Aaron and Sarah Kortze; Sarah (Kortze) and Thomas Winter; Andrew Kortze and Megan Gauler; and Matthew and Rachel Kortze; and her great grandchild - Michaela Grace Kortze; and many siblings, family and friends. Alene was a homemaker, who raised three empowered, Lutheran women, and was a proud member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church for 60 years. Generous and giving, she had a unique way of making one feel special that came in countless forms, from words to empower confidence, reminders that Martin Luther had a sense of humor, to Sunday family spaghetti dinners around the table. As a role model, Alene reminded us of the importance of long-term community engagement whether through teaching Sunday School or her activity in Bethlehem Lutheran’s Senior Group and Ladies League. Her legacy reminds us we can always start again and continue personal growth at any age while also staying true to our moral foundation. Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 3:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the Kaul Funeral Home in Roseville, MI. The service and burial will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 16, 2020 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Roseville, MI. The family asks that donations be made to Meals on Wheels (mealsonwheelsamerica.org) and Bethlehem Lutheran Church (Roseville, MI), in lieu of sending flowers.

All those attending are kindly asked to follow social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering immediately upon entering the funeral home and the church.
