Kendrick (Ken) was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Laurence and Dorothy Shedd. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Jeanette (Jean) Bolliger Shedd.
He is survived by three daughters, Susan Hall (George) of Woodstock; Connie Boozer (Steve) of Nashville, TN; and Nancy Vining (John) of Woodstock. He was the proud “Grandaddy” of seven grandchildren: Andrew and Michael Hall; Jonathan, James and Joel Nash; Leah Vining Schultz and Dustin Vining, and 13 great grandchildren.
Ken grew up near Indianapolis, IN and graduated from Decatur High School in 1946. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served honorably until his discharge in 1949. He then attended DePaw University in Greencastle, IN on the GI Bill and graduated with an economics degree in 1953.
He then began a career with Travelers Insurance Company and eventually retired in 1988 from the Atlanta Office.
In 1981, Ken acknowledged and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He and Jean attended Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell for 40 years.
Ken was an avid Atlanta sports fan and enjoyed playing ALTA tennis for many years.
The Shedd family will receive friends on November 9, 2021 for a visitation at 10 a.m. at Roswell Funeral Home, Roswell, Georgia. There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. followed by a committal and burial at Greenlawn Cemetery.
