
Robert James Sodeman, age 76, of Rancho Murieta, California passed away of natural causes at home on February 9, 2020 while held in the loving arms of his wife of 55 years, Martha Sodeman. Bob was a courageous soul and was devoted to his family. He was kind, honorable and worked diligently to fulfill all responsibilities. He loved to create and tinker and took pride in the details; from cars to models to computers. He enjoyed fishing and traveling his entire life.
Bob was born on October 6, 1943 in Hayward California. He was the second child and only son of James William and Mary Ann Sodeman. He is survived by his wife Martha Sodeman of Rancho Murieta, CA; his son, Peter Sodeman and his husband, Keith Lyles of Sacramento, CA; his daughter Major Jennifer Stark (USAF) and her husband Technical Sergeant (Ret.) James Stark Jr (USAF) of Niceville, FL; His grandchildren, Alxander Sodeman of Lincoln, CA; Joey and Sara Sodeman of Brunswick, OH; Hospital Man Recruit Robert Stark (USN) of Ft. Sam Houston, TX; Amelia Stark of Niceville, FL; his great-grandson Francis Sodeman of Lincoln, CA; and his sister Sharon Pierson and her husband Robert Pierson of Rancho Murieta. Bob joined his parents Jim and Mary Ann Sodeman, his son James Joseph Sodeman and his sister Carol Lou Sweet in heaven.
There will be a memorial service on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 10:30 am at St. Vincent De Paul Mission Church located at 14673 Cantova Way, Rancho Murieta, CA. Reception to follow at the Spaghetti Factory at 12401 Folsom Blvd, Rancho Cordorva, CA
