Betty -

I so loved your mother and thought about her often. She was such a classy lady. I enjoyed working with her and smiled reading that some called her "Nellie from the Deli". My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry to hear of Nell passing from this life. Seems like the Lord is taking all the good ones home. I was a young girl when she and my mom became great friends back in the late 50's. They were best friends while having babies and raising kids and into becoming grandmothers. She came to my baby showers and offered good motherly advice when I started raising my own family. She knew how to laugh and make any occasion extra special. I can just hear her now, telling me how special heaven is and what it was like when her and my mom Ruth Henshaw were reunited. You see my mom went to heaven just 2 months ago so I know she greated her old friend as she arrived. Sending love and prayers to her family. I know you will miss her. I loved her too.

So sorry for your loss, but not for Heaven's gain. I remember growing up on 6th Avenue in North Charleston, and reuniting with Nell when we started going to TVMBC in 1969. My Mom, Nadine, was friends with Nell for a lifetime it seems. Nell was very special to me.
