Louise M. Mierkowski

Louise M. Mierkowski, 83, of Bridgeton, MO, was born on August 25, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Bertha Para (nee: Pedke). They have preceded her in death. Louise passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 26, 2018.

Louise was the loving wife of over 63 years to Jerome “Jerry” Mierkowski. She was the devoted mother of Mark Mierkowski (Joan), Craig Mierkowski (Mary), and Cyndi Buchholz (Curt); treasured grandmother of Shannon Teasel (Kris), Jacob Mierkowski, Jessica Sturgeon (John), Ashley Mierkowski, and D.J. Buchholz; cherished great grandmother of Chevelle Mierkowski. Catherine Sturgeon, and Miles Teasel; dear sister of the late Ed Para and the late Christine Varnado; and dearest aunt of Kristie Grenier (Paul). She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews from her husband’s side of the family, many cousins and friends.

Louise worked in the credit department for Sears and retired from there after many years of service to them. She was also a long-time member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoyed flower gardening, watching the Hummingbirds, travelling, and spending time with her husband Jerry at Bull Shoals Lake. Louise was a wonderful cook who always made sure that her family was well-fed. In fact, Louise’s top priority was always her family. She saw to it that each and every member of her family was well-loved and cared for. She also took pride in watching and supporting her grandchildren at their various sporting, school, and life events. Louise had a powerful and special bond with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They truly meant the world to her. Louise will be remembered as a bubbly, sweet, and generous woman who saw the good in everyone and loved unconditionally. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Louise’s name to the American Lung Association.
