I am greatly saddened to learn of Mary Ellen's passing. I have known her for some time through Church Women United and I was delighted when she joined Immanuel UCC after Northminster Presbyterian Church closed.

My heartfelt sympathy to Mary Ellen's family. I went all through school with her. She was a friend, and I remember her fondly.

I'm saddened by the news that Mary Ellen has passed. We had the pleasure of working with Mary Ellen since 2000, when she joined the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission (Explore St. Louis) as a dedicated volunteer.

Mary Ellen volunteered for us each month at St. Louis Lambert International Airport up until the pandemic hit. For many years, she also served at the America's Center Convention Center, sharing advice and warm hospitality to all she encountered. She is pictured below receiving a Lifetime Service Award in December 2019 with Explore St. Louis.

In addition, she was awarded the Catch Us Giving customer service award in 2015 from St. Louis Lambert Airport. It's a heartwarming story, that represents her wonderful sense of hospitality and kindness she shared with visitors.

A couple traveling from Houston TX arrived in St. Louis and left behind their medications at our Visitor Center desk. Mary Ellen tried to track them down by paging and working with the airline. Ultimately, the couple called from their hotel. When the airline was unable to deliver the medications to the travelers, Mary Ellen made the trip to the Chesterfield hotel herself to hand-deliver them at the end of her shift.

This act of kindness was just one example of the lives she touched on behalf of St. Louis and our organization. We're tremendously grateful to her. Please accept our deepest sympathy on your loss. We will miss her.
