Virginia "Ginny" LaVerne Kroeger

December 1, 1923November 7, 2018

Virginia “Ginny” LaVerne Kroeger (nee Spencer), 94, of St. Charles, MO and formerly of St. Ann, MO passed away with dignity and respect to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Nell Spencer; her beloved husband of 47 years, Virgil M. Kroeger; and her sister, Marie Vandegrift. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Linda (Lindell) Williams and Cynthia (Larry) Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Lynnette K. (Phil) Mackey, Larry V. (Molly) Williams, Janene R. D. Schuler; and John F. (Billie) Schuler, Jr; great grandchildren, Joseph T. Kuntz III, Danielle and Kerri Schuler, Grace, Anne, and Clare Williams, and Daniel and Nathan Mackey; and aunt to Susan Crawley and Gary Vandegrift.

Virginia was a loving, charitable, strong-minded, and spiritually sound lady. She was the “best mother and grandmother” and always helped her family in any way she could. Her sons-in-law, Lindy and Larry, became more like sons to her and she treated them as her own. She loved the tranquility of the ocean and in her spare time liked to spend some time at the Ameristar Casino. Though she really wanted her 95th birthday to be here with her family, her family knows that new Angel will be with them on December 1st. Virginia’s big heart and generosity of spirit will be missed by everyone who loved her.

Friends may visit on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann. Entombment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Expressions of condolence may be offered at and memorials are appreciated to the American Heart Association.
