OBITUARY

Darlene Alice Throop

June 11, 1940July 26, 2020

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the age of 80.

Dearest daughter of the late Alice C. Warren and the late Arvil (Ruth) Warren; beloved former wife of Lester Throop and the late Richard Weber; dear mother of Richard (Marlene) Weber, Randy (late Annette) Weber and Ronald (Chen) Weber; loving grandmother of Sherry (Ron) Bub, Jennifer Weber, Melissa Weber and Sha Lai; devoted great grandmother of Christian, Addison and Lauren Bub; dearest sister of Sandra Blanner, the late Gary Warren, late Ronald Warren and the late Donald Warren; aunt of Kristine (Jason) Ruyle and great-aunt of Jonah & Joseph Ruyle; cousin and friend to many.

Our mother, Darlene, lived a good life, and enhanced the lives of many over the decades. In addition to her family, she loved and cared for many dozens of children in our home, where she babysat for a number of years. We always felt loved and cared for by our dear mom. Our dad and she provided us with a safe and loving environment. In mom's earlier years she was a vibrant woman, who enjoyed laughing and having a good time! She was a very giving person, involved with various school activities. She often collected money for various causes. Mom taught us how to live, and how to love, by her words and her example. We are better men for having been raised by her. We will always miss you mom. You were loved by your sons, and many others! God bless you! We look forward to the day we will all be reunited!

Darlene was our babysitter when we were kids, but she was much more than that. I always thought of her as a second mom and Ricky, Randy and Ronnie as our brothers. She was wonderful and so sweet and kind to all of us and I know I was a rowdy one, but I was her favorite 😉😘 Sometimes mom would be gone for long periods of time and we just lived there and she treated us just like family. I never remember her ever spanking me or really saying a cross word to me. I love being with her and in her home. I love you Darlene and I thank you for all you did for protecting us during some really rough times and for loving us and for always being there for me and my family. I don’t think you ever said no to my mom when she asked you for a favor. You were such a good and kind person. Thanks for all the wonderful memories. It’s never goodbye for a Christian, it’s see you soon!🙌🏼♥️ Love~Lori (Higgins) Orrick
