I was fortunate to work with the Vitale family when they expanded their bakery on the hill. It was the first time in my 30 years in the construction industry that I was invited to Pete and Grace’s house on the the Hill to negotiate the final contract. Grace prepared on of her famous spaghetti dinners and the rest is history. I will never forget that dinner. She was the only other person that I called Mom other than my own mother. She always gave me a hug when I visited the bakery, and always asked me how my girls were going. She was a beautiful person and will be forever missed.

Pete, sorry to hear about your mom. She was the sweetest lady. Always so welcoming when I went in the store. I’ll never forget when we where youngsters, going to the back getting Italian Ice and your mom yelling at us for playing in the dough. Those where the good ole days. She will be missed.
