James Martin O'Neill

O’Neill, James M. passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the age of 88. Shortly before his death, he received the sacraments and the Apostolic Blessing. Jim was the loving husband of Ann, his wife of more than 63 years; brother to Jean T. O’Neill, father of Michael, Patrick (Jennifer), Jane Hilton (Greg), Joseph (the late Carolyn), and Julia Hickey (Chris). He was a beloved Grandfather to James, Lily LeMay (Tyler), Stephen, Kevin (Amanda), Patrick, Robert, Matthew, Stuart Hilton, Lucy Hilton, John Hilton, Cecilia Hickey, and Dwayne Hickey. He was Great Grandfather to Oliver O’Neill. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth O’Neill, brothers Jerry and John O’Neill, daughter-in-law Carolyn, and Grandson Stuart Hilton.

Jim was a successful banker and entrepreneur, a devoted family man, and an avid golfer. He scored a hole-in-one seven times during his golfing career and was the winner of a number of Amateur golf tournaments. He was a man of humility and a faithful member of the Catholic Church. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

SERVICES: A visitation will be held in the chapel at Little Flower Catholic Church, 1264 Arch Terrace, Richmond Heights, MO, on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 9:30 am with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
