Pearl "Deanie" Wagner

June 2, 1932October 28, 2018

Pearl Dean “Deanie” Wagner (nee Tallent), 86 of St. Louis, MO stepped through those “Pearly” Gates and into the arms of Jesus and a Joyous Family reunion on October 28, 2018. Born June 2nd, 1932 to Jesse Ray Tallent and Viola Elizabeth Tallent (nee Long) of Patton, MO

Although she never had any children of her own she is survived by a host of 48 nieces and nephews (which she loved as her own and was like a second mom to many of them), 109 great nieces and nephews & 91 great-great nieces and nephews from a total of 14 States & 3 foreign countries including Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Florida, Washington, California, Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Colorado, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Korea, Philippines and Japan

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Charles Alfred Wagner, Her father Jesse Ray Tallent, mother Viola Elizabeth Tallent (nee Long), brothers Norman Ray Tallent, Donald Clint Tallent, Jackie William Tallent and sisters Bonnie Rose Devenport (nee Tallent), Betty Ruth Presnell (nee Tallent) & Audrey Faye Mungle (nee Tallent).

Pearl grew up in Patton, MO and went to a one-room schoolhouse through the 8th grade. She began working at the local shoe factory and it was there that she met her sweetheart Charles. At 19 years old on April 7th 1951 she married the love of her life Charles Alfred Wagner of Glen Allen, MO. She continued to work at the shoe factory while he went off to serve in the United States Army. Upon his return home, they moved to St. Louis, MO and she worked for a few years as a seamstress at Prince-Gardener making wallets.

“Deanie” had the most contagious laugh and she loved family, cooking, baking, singing, big family gatherings and being the caretaker of the family, but most of all she loved the Lord. She had the biggest servants’ heart that I have ever known and until she was no longer physically able, she was always found serving at her church or volunteering at a nursing home. Even after she was no longer able she would still insist on trying to be the caretaker which many times resulted in her needing to be taken care of herself always laughing about it of course. She was a member of Twin Rivers Worship Center.
