Peter C. Lee, 84, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, August 21 from thoracic surgery complications. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Antoinette, children Jay, Gene and Sue, his siblings Agatha Park, Francis, John, Helen Alexanderson-Lee, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Kwan Hee and Chin Bae, and sister Florence Whang. Peter came to the U.S. from Seoul, Korea in 1954 to attend the University of Pittsburgh, followed by medical school at Howard University and dermatology residency at Northwestern University. As a practicing dermatologist and dermatopathologist for 44 years in Granite City, IL and south St. Louis County, Peter touched many lives through his clinical practice and was known for being friendly and easy-going. He enjoyed a life full of classical music, art appreciation, plants, and in retirement tending to his roses. The family thanks the great staff at Barnes' CT floor & ICU and Missouri-Baptist CT floor.
Services: Funeral service at St. Michael and St. George's Episcopal Church 6345 Wydown Blvd., on Tues., Aug. 28, 11am and visitation on Mon., Aug. 27, 4pm-8pm., Hoffmeister Funeral Home, 6464 Chippewa St. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to a new fund for college students at peterclee.org.
