I am so blessed to have worked with Rita for many years. Hearing her laugh warmed my heart. Our daily greeting started with me saying, "Good morning Rita, how are you?" And every time she would respond with "Just peachy!" Some days she meant it, some days her wonderful sarcasm was all over it! LOL We shared so many "boy" stories, comparing my boys to her grandbabies. She beamed when she spoke of all of her kids. They were her heart and soul. She lived her life for them. I will truly miss walking into the clinic and seeing her smiling face, I will miss her hugs, and miss sharing stories. You will be missed friend.

Rita! Oh what a bright smile and positive spirit you shared with so many...

We shared a Saturday morning outing with our sons who were around the same age learning the basics of fishing at Lone Elk Park. Thank you for the smiles, warm conversation and the joy of knowing you. You were loved and will be missed by so many.

Praying for your families’ strength and the support that so many admired and loved your wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, aunt and etc.

I was a lucky therapist to work with Rita on and off for a few years. She was always someone who I could ask for help or direction with the 'going ons' in the clinic. Rita was able to give insight to a patient's situation--she listened to the patient's during lunch, travel and outing times. She did this with a compassionate heart. I send my prayers to Rita's family. I hope that there is comfort in knowing that her life touched many in such positive ways.

sending prayers for you and your family for your loss. I was a little girl (5 I believe) the day your mom and dad got married. I remember sitting in the what seemed like the biggest most beautiful sanctuary on the longest pews waiting in excitement for the bride to be. The music started we all stood. Here she came, her dress was beautiful , the most beautiful i had ever seen. I remember asking " Is Rita a princess now?" Aunt Dorothy giggled and said shhhh. The ceremony started and I listened carefully trying to hear and understand becau I just knew she was or was about to become a real princess! Then later that evening was the reception.... i remember eating yummy food.... dancining until my little legs hurt but i remember the cake had these tiny tea cups made of sugar. Surely only a princess would deserve tea cups made of sugar! The evening wore on i turned into exhausted 5 year old Cindy....crying i wanted to go home please can we go home, thats when you Beautiful Momma made me a princess! She brought me one of those tiny sugar tea cups! Dad took me home after that....i was a princess for 2 whole days with that tea cup! I stared at how intricate it was....wondered how they had made it...thought about drinking out of it lol....i cherished it for 2 days.....and then I ate it as a 5 year old would! Now for my entire life I have cherished that small gift from your mom....she made me a princess for a few days! I'll never forget her for that and to this day I have never been to a wedding more beautiful than your Parents special day! Just wanted to share....sending that Bockenholt love to all of you!

I worked with Rita at the Arnold Clinic my first six months when I started at SSM Rehabilitation in 2009. She instantly became a good friend and even though I transferred out to another clinic, we remained friends and coworkers. She had an infectious laugh and would tell it like it is. She will be missed.
