My thoughts and prayers are with you Elise, Barry, Miriam, and the whole family. Your mother was a sweet lady who always had a smile on her face every time I saw her. She finished her race well and has earned a much deserved rest. May God be with you now and going forward.

Don, Kathy & family,
My heart breaks for you. Vera was such a caring & loving woman. She always treated me and my kids with such kindness. I remember the time when Tony & Tammy were young, out riding their bikes and got up to her car to talk to her and one of them put a little scratch in it, (with their handle bars, the rubber handle on their handle bars was worn and the metal was exposed). The next day she gave them new rubber handles for their bikes. I was in such awe, so sweet and thoughtful. I will never forget that. Vera may be gone but she will never be forgotten, she will live forever in your hearts. God Bless you all.

Vera was a beautiful lady inside and out. I didn't know her as long as Vurn, but I admired her. She will be greatly missed. God's comfort and blessings are my prayer for all her family. Diane

She was a part of the family. When you have a lady like her in your life for 30 years you get to know just how amazing they are. We had fun gossiping together and sharing food. I always cooked a lot more than her, and in styles she wasn't familiar with.
So I would make sure that I would save just a bit to ask her opinion. She was a gift to South Broadway.

Don & Kathy and family:
My heart is heavy and my prayers are with you and your family and the whole community. But my hope is sure that her legacy is lasting and that her life was full. I have so many good memories of my time with you and the entire Rathbone family (friends, customers). But one of the true highlights of my time as your sales rep was having the honor to salute the service of one of the greats! This photo recently popped up in my timeline and what a happy reminder it was of a truly beautiful person who embodied so many of the qualities we should all aspire to: hard work, dedication, diligence, honesty, kindness, joy, graciousness, and most of all love. Mrs. Vera truly loved her family, her business, and her community and it always showed. Thank you Mrs. Vera for a life well lived and thank you, Lord for allowing me the privilege of calling her a friend! Godspeed!
