William Thompson (Uncle Bill) was my mentor! I looked up to him as my father! (Was my dad’s brother) passed this morning and went to be with our Amazing God and his beautiful wife! Uncle Bill, make some Crete, and yes you can carve concrete to look like stone! You were an amazing man and always showed me the path..... see you soon!

It’s about our eternal salvation. It’s understanding His love for us. It’s about the journey of man and their relationship with the Creator.

Dear Father, yesterday you called home my Uncle Bill. Now he is surrounded by Your everlasting love, his family and his Bride. Give hope and understanding to my cousins who’ve lost their earthly father, bring them closer to you and give them peace knowing of your amazing salvation.

Amen!

Uncle Bill was my only uncle. From the time I was little he was there to help anyway he could. We always looked up to him, admired him for his strength, his wisdom and discipline. Uncle Bill was such a generous person. He helped me when I was only 18 years old...I needed tires on my car and he had them put on at the Shell station I think off Kingshighway. And he was there again when I got married at Ascension in 1992 where he provided the deli meat for my reception party. Thank you so much Uncle Bill! You will always be loved and I am going to miss you dearly.

Love always,
Merry Ellis Pope McAvity

P.S. So sorry that I can not be there..I am in RN school in Tampa, Fl.
