March 19, 1969November 5, 2019

In the early afternoon of November 5th, 2019 Linda Marie Tinega sadly passed away after a strong 19 month battle with brain cancer at the age of 50. Linda was born March 19th, 1969 in St. Paul, MN. Growing up she always had a heart of gold and was always the first to lend a helping hand and kept everyone else's best interest in mind. This was able to take her on a lot of exciting endeavors throughout her young adulthood including moving to Alaska and Florida, and after all those adventures she knew there was only one thing left missing and in 2004 her dream was fulfilled when she had her son Andrew. Aside from being the best single mother many have ever seen she still found the time to have many other interests and skills. This amazing women could bake sweets like nobodies business and loved to stay up late and cook countless numbers of pies and nut goodies for all her friends and family. Linda was very active in the PTA in Andrews school and discovered many lifelong and unforgettable friendships in the process. There is not enough kind words on this planet that can truly describe the positive impact Linda made on everyone that she was close to. Linda is survived by her son Andrew Tinega, parents Lilli (Jeff) Brown, Kenneth (Marcy) Roberts, sisters Marilyn (Tony) Hargrave, Diane (Jason) Hane, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by grandparents Herbert and Elsa Suckut, Ernest and Tracy Roberts. A celebration of life for Linda will be held November 16th at the VFW in North St. Paul. 2483 7th Ave East, St.Paul, MN 55109. At 1 P.M. please join us in prayer with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, all gifts will be directed to a college fund for Andrew.

There are countless memories that I have with Linda, from sleeping over multiple nights in a row, to bindge watching heartland or Lucifer. Linda was like another mother to me, always had her home open to who ever needed one. She showed me how to bake lots of goodies, and taught me important life lessons that I won't ever forget. She never stopped fighting. My condolences stretch far and wide to her family, and Andrew.
