She is survived by her daughter, Linda Holly (Gerald) and her son, Gregory (Kathy); along with granddaughters, Jennifer Holly Wells, Carrie Holly, Cathryn Lachenmayer, Roberta Clark, and their families. Marie has eight great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews call her Aunt Marie.
Marie loved her family beyond all measure and always enjoyed their visits, be it at home or at the Big Marine Lake cabin where special family memories were made. In addition to working in Anker Hospital as a food tray server, Pearson's Candy making fruit bars for the WWII soldiers, an d factory work at 3M Company, Marie took care of her youngest brother Richard who had Down's Syndrome at her home until his death at age 52. Her humane dedication to his life meant that he lived twice as long as expected at the time.
Our thanks to the staff at New Perspective-Roseville, who cared for her in many ways for over five years. Our deepest gratitude to St. Croix Hospice for their loving care and devotion, to make sure Marie was comfortable throughout her journey.
Visitation will be at the Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave., on Wednesday, April 14th, at 10 am, with a service to follow at 11 am. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Mahtomedi. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to St. Croix Hospice in Stillwater.
