Sandy and I met at Conwed Corporation in 1980. Forty years of a beautiful friendship. I worked in HR—Sandy worked on the ‘executive’ floor along side the VP’s because she was really smart! She was my rock in terms of emotional support. She was very forward thinking at a time when many women were just entering the workforce. I feel we were more like sisters—bonded at the hip. I was lucky enough to be invited to Florida several times and Sandra showed me all the beautiful spots on Sanibel and Captiva islands. It was a tropical paradise and I felt honored to have shared those times with her. Indeed her health held her back from doing more traveling with her husband Phil. Her sense of adventure allowed her to be hopeful of the possibilities in her life. One of the best memories I have of Sandy is going to the movies with her at a theater near White Bear Ave to see “A Fish Called Wanda”. We laughed so hard we cried! We went out for dinner after and still laughed as hard and as loud ! Every time I see that movie rerun on TV I watch it and remember a vibrant and healthy friend in better times. My deepest sympathies to her daughter Gina and husband Phil and all her family and friends. Take care of each other—life is fragile.

Sandy was in my wedding party. I always will remember her with her beautiful smile never complaining about anything. With all her health struggles she had throughout her adult years. She had an awesome husband who loved her dearly in sickness and in health together they had there beautiful daughter Genia and got to have and love her granddaughter. She was a very strong lady with so much love to share. She will be missed. She can RIP with no pain and look down on her beautiful family. My deepest symphonies to her family. And thank you Phill for giving her so much love and support.
