YANOFSKY, LEONARD WILLIAM – of Peabody, formerly of Marblehead. Entered into rest June 10, 2015 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (Gelin) Yanofsky. Devoted father of Steven and Marsha Yanofsky of West Hartford, CT and Brenda and Alan Samiljan of Salem. Cherished grandfather of Daniel Samiljan and Laurel Randolph of Los Angeles, CA, Julia Samiljan and fiancé Nicholas Sacco of Maynard and Rachel Yanofsky. Loving brother of the late Bernice Baker and the late Philip S. Yanofsky. Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, SALEM on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 10AM. Interment will be at the Sons of Jacob cemetery in Danvers. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Brenda and Alan Samiljan following services on Friday until sundown, Saturday evening and on Sunday beginning at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Brooksby Village Benevolent Fund, 100 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody, MA (ATTN: Benevolent Fund).
