Marvin Herman Kupelnick

December 1, 1938October 29, 2015

KUPELNICK, Marvin H. – of Swampscott and Boynton Beach, FL, entered into rest October 29, 2015 at the age of 76. He was the devoted husband of Ronnie (Chursed) Kupelnick with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Beloved father of Elissa Kupelnick and her companion Jeremy McNair. Loving brother of the late Betty Cotton. Beloved brother-in-law of Maxine and Larry Rogers. Dearest uncle of Jamie Rogers, Ira Rogers, Elayne Levin, David Cotton and Daniel Cotton. Marvin was an avid Boston sports fan, with a passion for the Celtics. He was a respected basketball coach at the JCC and loved playing golf and tennis as well. Services will be held at Congregation Shirat Hayam of the North Shore, 55 Atlantic Ave., Swampscott on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 12:00 noon. Interment will be held at Pride of Lynn Cemetery, 89 Lakeshore Road, Lynn. A memorial observance will be held on Sunday following interment at the home of Elissa and Jeremy; and will continue at his late residence on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 1-4pm and 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marvin’s name may be made to JCC of the North Shore, 4 Community Rd., Marblehead, MA 01945 or to Jewish Family and Children’s Services, 1430 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02451.
