Emilia Kondziola, 95, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Salisbury Nursing Home.
Emilia worked for many years at Manhattan Shirt Factory and at Phillips Crab House. She loved all flowers and trees and along with her husband they raised chickens for Perdue Farms. She was a loving wife and mother who was known for her pierogis and cabbage rolls. She loved attending St. Francis de Sales and Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Whaleyville where she enjoyed singing.
She is survived by four children, Leo Kondziola and his wife Patricia, Irene Ann Rains, Ola Meadowcroft and her husband Steve, and Myron Kondziola and his wife Karen; grandchildren, Sherrie Bauer and her husband Jeff, and Shannon Rains and Spencer Rains and his wife Lisa; step grandchildren, Sheri Schumeyer and her husband Rick, Todd Stephens and his wife Laura and Keith Stephens; adopted daughters, Gayle Miller and her husband Tom and Lynda Hylton- Hennessey and her husband Tom; thirteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kondziola in 2004 and grandson, Adam Kondziola in 2010.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 2pm Wicomico Memorial Park. Rev. Oren Perdue will officiate.
