Jacob "Jake" Lee Williams

Jacob “Jake” Lee Williams was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2021. Born and raised in Salisbury, he was a graduate of James M Bennett High School. Until his passing he had been a supervisor with Peninsula Water Conditioning for the last several years.

Music was Jake’s passion. He spent a good deal of his spare time playing the guitar and writing music. Jake also loved to read. He was always eager to share what he learned whether it was from something he read, or had come across. Regardless of what it was, he wanted to tell you the whole story. The funny thing about his enthusiasm was it often turned a five-minute explanation into a twenty-minute story. He often had to be prompted to: “get to the point Jake!” which was usually followed by lighthearted laughter. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing of any kind. He also loved sports, especially baseball. He had played on teams since he was about five years old. When he was 15, Jake even had the opportunity to belong to the AAU Traveling All-Stars who finished 7th in the country that year. He loved his family and friends, and loved spending time with them. Jake was always the person whose first thought was to help anyone he could. His tender heart was willing to help anyone with anything they needed. He will always be lovingly remembered as someone who “truly cared.”

Jake is survived by his precious sons Jaden Michael and Tristan Wyatt Williams for whom his world revolved around. His boys were absolutely “his everything” to him. Jake also leaves to mourn his passing his beloved parents Terry and Karen Groce Williams; his loving sister Jamie Williams DiLegge, dear brother Terry “TJ,” Williams, Jr.; and treasured nieces MaKayla and Paige DiLegge.

Friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 E Main St., Salisbury, MD from 1:00- 2:00pm where Memorial Services will begin at 2:00pm. Pastor John Kalfayan of the Crossroads Church of God will be officiating. In accordance with Covid-19 protocols protective masks will be required, and social distancing will be in place.
