ST. GEORGE, Utah—Mary Carol Haller, 91, passed away on July 12, 2018. She was born on September 14, 1926 in Joseph, Utah to John Wallace Gardner and Minerva Jane Baker.
She married her one and only love, Robert Louis Haller, on March 1, 1952 in Elko, Nevada. They enjoyed 54 years together. Mary loved to travel in the 5th wheel, bowl, and play cards. Mary bragged, “I AM THE CHAMP!”
Mary worked as a spot welder and then riveter in the shipyards for Cal Ship during World War II and retired, after 32 years, from Sargent Engineering.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, brother Duane Jay Gardner and sister Reta Vera Gardner. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 82 N. Dixie Drive St. George, Utah. A graveside service and dedication will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah under the direction of Wasatch Lawn.
