Kerry, I'm so sorry to read of your father's passing. I know you were close to him in so many ways. You've been a very caring and dedicated daughter; a father couldn't ask for any more in a daughter.
My condolences to you and your family. May God bless you all.

Betenes Family,

It was my pleasure to know Dick for many years as his insurance agent. I will miss his semi-annual visits to my office where he would keep me updated on his San Diego adventures. Each and every visit he would inform me his insurance rates were way too high, then after making me squirm in my chair for the full thirty minutes, pull a check from his pocket that was already made out for the full premuim of the insurance. Loved that good hearted man. It was a nice service today for Dick. My sympathy to you all.

Today my wife and I with others who knew him mourn the passing and loss of our good friend, Dick Betenes. In the all too short five years we had the pleasure of getting to know Dick, we would learn about and appreciate his life, and he ours. A mutual friendship of trust and caring began. During that time, we would visit his home in Utah, meet his friends and family members, and always remember the occasions as friendly as he, and we would appreciate him that much more. As his health problems grew so did his good humor, generosity and most of all, his good will towards all. This let us support him without pity but with deep respect and love for him. Many others will miss him here, his second home.
May the Good Lord rest our friend Dick Betenes.
