March 1, 1950June 12, 2021

Harley Clarence Rietbrock returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday June 12, 2021.

Harley was born March 1, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clarence Edward Rietbrock and Marian Frances Bennett. He was later sealed for time and eternity to his parents.

Harley Served an LDS mission in the California North Mission from 1969 to 1971. He also served in the Unites States Air Force and the Air National Guard from 1972-1986. Harley met the love of his life, Paula Jean Johnston, while stationed at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana. They were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity on November 20, 1973.

He loved spending time with his family doing BBQ’s, telling stories of his youth, time in the military and how he met his wife along with the creative/crazy things his kids would do, going camping, fishing and attending baseball games. He loved supporting his kids and grandkids by attending their sporting events. He loved horses and his pets. He would help out anyone that needed help, whether they asked or not, especially his kids. He was known by his wife as Precious, by his children as Dad and by his grandchildren as Poppy. He kept five things close to his heart, God, his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his pets. His dogs and cat; Mudd, Tink and Princess, will miss him dearly. He will never be forgotten and will forever live in our hearts.

Love to you all from two of Harleys friends.
Harley and the Rietbrock family are loved by so many of us who grew up on the Avenues of Salt lake City with them.
Harley worked during his teanage years helping produce a hardbound book of those who lived in the 27th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christof Latter-day Saints.
Much time has passed and we do not know some of you but we do know of Harlies love for you.
He is truly an honest and faithful man who's spirit rests in paradise.
Be of good cheer in these hard times of Harlies passing.
Death has no sting to those who know of our Saviors plan for us now and in the future.
