Mikel was the bright light that could enter any room and capture the hearts and soul of everyone around her. Mikel was always outgoing with a quirky personality and was an adventure to be around, she made you feel like family and never met a stranger that didn’t fall in love with her. If you had the pleasure of being around her you were sure to get a big hug from her and have your picture taken with her. #selfiequeen

Mikel was born on August 26, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada to her parents Randy J Sorenson and Jennie Johnson Baxter and passed away suddenly in an auto accident on June 24, 2017.
Mikel attended Jordan Hills Elementary, West Hills Middle School, Cooper Hills High School. Mikel also has a fascination with the great state of Texas and moved there for a short period of time where she attended Pilot Point High School where she was very active in softball and sports during her school years.
Mikel leaves behind her other father Steve Baxter, her sisters Brandy Bristol, Kegan Bristol, her brothers Adam Baxter, Randy J Sorenson II, Ryan J Sorenson and her grandfather Bob Johnson. Mikel also is loved and has left behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephew (Castor) and her four-legged fur baby “Appolo”!
We will be celebrating her life not mourning so leave the black behind and show your colors…
A celebration of Mikel’s life will be held Friday, June 30, 2017, at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held for family and friends Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
