I remember the Collards as a boy growing up on 10th South in Bountiful in the 50's and sharing experiences with Ron , Pam and Curtis. I remember working at their sheep ranch and docking sheep and experiencing "rocky mountain oysters". I have never been fond of sheep or mutton ever since, but I cherish the experiences and memories that Clyde Collard and his family gave me in my youth. Though our paths have not crossed often in the years since the Collards moved from Bountiful, I am grateful for the times we shared as friends. God bless you all at this difficult time as your loved one has slipped through the veil, just as my father, Cliff Clark has done, in the past month. Until we meet again, Scott Clark

Dear Eleanor and Family; it is with great sorrow that I read of Clydes passing I will remember him, the stories that he always shared with our family, The beautiful quilts that you made for the boys are used daily. You will always be remembered for your love and the beautiful quilts, and during this time remember to feel comforted of the love that surrounds you. Sincerely Katherine Gillespie and family

So sorry to hear of Clyde's passing. He was always smiling with a twinkle in his eyes. He had mischief written all over him, and had great stories to tell. I'm sure he ate a herd of sheep in his life time and not too many people can say that. He told me once how grateful he was to have Eleanor as his wife and how much he loved her and the kids. Even when they were painting the living room he would put his arms around her and give her a big kiss. (I have pictures) What a colorful and kind person to have known.

I'm so sorry to hear that Clyde has passed. I had the pleasure of growing up next door to "Mr. Collard" on Center Street in Lehi, and have many fond memories of Him and the whole family. He even gave me my first ziplock bag of genuine sheepherder M-80's at the ripe age of 5! The Pugh family is thinking of you and your entire family!
