Rusaline "Rus" Cox Edburg, 90, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away March 21, 2018 . She was born in Big Spring, Texas on November 21, 1927. Rusaline (Rus) Cox Edburg graduated from Garden City High School. She was married to Anton Hugo Edburg on February 14, 1959. She enjoyed community involvement and was involved in several different organizations namely, Bentwood Tennis League, P.E.O. Club, Wells Fargo Leading Ladies club, as well as the Auxiliary Department at San Angelo Community Hospital. She was a faithful member of St. Mark Presbyterian Church. She also had a passion for tennis, painting, woodworking, baking, and fishing. Rusaline is survived by her daughter Penny Johnson and husband Greg; her grandchildren, Casey Hoch and Paige Flippen and husband Charles; her great grand children, Ava Hoch, Cash Flippen, Carson Hoch, Paisley Flippen, and Saige Flippen. She also leaves to cherish her memories a brother Ben Cox and a sister Bonnetta Bednar and husband Wilburn along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Anton Hugo Edburg, sons; Alan Edburg and Andrew Edburg; her sister Isabel Houston Herzog and her brother Fern Cox. The family would like to extend a special word of thanks to the Staff of Brookdale, especially the memory care unit who provided loving care to our beloved mother and grandmother, as well as Kindred Hospice of San Angelo. The family also wishes to acknowledge Mary Lovell for all the special care and kindness shown to their mother during her time of need.
