OBITUARY

Yetta Lou Masters Nanny

September 3, 1927June 11, 2021

Yetta Lou Masters Nanny was born on September 3, 1927 in Gillespie County, in the small town of Doss, Texas. She was the 4th of 8 children born to Jeff and Wilma Marquardt Masters. Yetta was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, and her youngest son, Charles Nanny. Yetta attended school and graduated in Hunt, Texas. She married Joe Nanny and together they had 4 sons; Henry, John, Roscoe, and Charles. Yetta’s family mattered most to her and she loved them selflessly. Beyond the task of just raising 4 boys, she also made all of their clothes, cut their hair, and spent hours in the kitchen cooking. Yetta had a passion for cooking, most especially baking. Yetta went to work for Mooney Aircraft in Kerrville, Texas in the 1960’s doing airplane wiring. In the 1970’s she transferred to Mitsubishi Aircraft in San Angelo to do aircraft upholstery. In her later years, she spent her time enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Times were never dull, and you were never bored when “Maw-Maw” was around. Yetta is survived by her 3 sons, Henry, John, and Roscoe Nanny. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, to many to mention. Ultimately, she leaves behind a love for family and a zest for life that cannot be put into words. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, June 16, 2021, in Barnhart Cemetery with Shawn Nanny officiating.
