I have many memories of my beautiful niece, but one stands out forever in my heart. We lived across the street 5 homes down from each and Mija would come over to visit me. On one occasion, we were talking about growing up (she was around 13 years old) and told me seriously "Aunt Carrie, I hope when I grow up, I will be as tall as you". (I am 5' 1"). I couldn't laugh, she was so serious, all I could say to her was "Honey, always remember that it doesn't matter how tall you are on the outside, but how big your heart is in the inside". I like to think she took it to heart, she was such a good and loving person, always helping anyone she could. I will miss you, "Mija"
