Daniel Joseph Keuper

Daniel Joseph Keuper was born August, 2, 1920 in Weimar, TX. He passed from this life on Sunday, March 24, 2013. He spent three years in the United States Air Force during World War II, and was stationed at Tinian Air Base in the Marianna Islands. He received the Bronze Star for his service to our country. His working years were spent in the lumber business from which he retired 27 years ago. Dan loved watching sporting events on television, and it was his passion to read the newspaper from cover to cover and work the word games. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Agnes Keuper. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Hazel S. Keuper, children, Brian & Joyce Keuper and Todd & Martha Keuper; grandchildren, Todd, Jr. & Heidi Keuper, Jeff & Amy Keuper, and Travis & Lavonda Keuper; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Dan. He sat at the dinner table with my dad and two others at Sterling House. They were buddies. He was such a pleasant person...and loved talking about going out to eat! We will all miss him. We are praying for comfort for your family. God bless you.

My sincere condolences to all of the Keuper family for the loss of Dan. I have very fond memories of him from my teenage years. He was always smiling and so very nice to be around. There is no doubt he is smiling down at his family now. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
