

David Alfaro, age 59, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 in San Antonio. He was born to parents, Guadalupe Cardenas and Samuel Antonio Alfaro, in San Antonio on March 30, 1964. David was a star quarterback and baseball player at Jefferson High School and then went on to play collegiate football at Sul Ross State. After his playing days, David pursued a career in project management and sales while also becoming a baseball coach to many young athletes. He was an avid acoustic guitar player. He enjoyed watching the Texas Longhorns each Saturday in the Fall. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Antonio Alfaro. David is survived by wife, Karen; sons, Tyler, Austin, and Garrett; his mother and step-father; Guadalupe Garza and Jesse Garza; his siblings, Michael, Nancy, Tammy, and James; several nieces and nephews; and his two dogs, Case and Major.
