Dora O. Salazar was born January 30, 1925. She went to her final home and resting place on June 18, 2018. She was born in San Marcos, Texas to Maria Flores Ochoa and Guadalupe Ochoa. She was married to Anastacio S. Salazar, who preceded her in death in 2015. She raised 7 children, daughter, Gloria Salazar Gomez, preceded her in death. She is survived by her other 6 children, Mary Alice Salazar, Anastacio Salazar, Jr., Daniel O. Salazar, Juanita Salazar Rangel, Antonio Salazar, and Gregoria Salazar. She is preceded in death by her sisters; Vera, Susie, Josie, Christian, and Alicia, and brothers; Guadalupe, Ruben, Joel, and Gilbert. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. Dora was a hard worker, who retired after serving Miller Curtains for 39 years. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her children during the peak of the depression, who never wavered in caring for her family. She and her husband were active in the San Antonio Social Club. She loved to travel, dance and visit Las Vegas. Above else, she lived a full, active life and died peacefully, surrounded by her children who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held at Roy Akers 515 N. Main Ave. Monday, June 25, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday, June 26, 2018 the Funeral procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
