Hector M. Trevino was born on October 17, 1939, in Kingsville, Texas to Rafaela and Merced Trevino. He departed this life on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Christus Sister Mary Hospice Center due to Multiple Myeloma Cancer.
Hector was born on October 17, 1939, in Kingsville, Texas, He was raised on the King Ranch, Laureles division. He moved to Corpus Christi, Texas with his parents and graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1957. He went on to attend Del Mar college and the Marine reserves. Hector began a career as a sales manager and independent dealer with Bridgestone Firestone/ GCR in1962. He married his wife Mary of 55 years on May 3, 1963. Hector enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved watching sports, especially the Astros and the Spurs. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family.
He is survived by his wife Mary Garcia Trevino, two sons, Jerry Trevino of San Antonio, Texas, Michael Trevino (Yolanda) of San Antonio, Texas, one daughter Celena Salinas (Rick) of Keller, Texas. Grandchildren, Ricky Salinas of Keller, Texas; Maya Trevino of Arlington, Texas, Colby Trevino, of Arlington, Texas, Emily Trevino, of San Antonio, Texas, Gaby Salinas, of Keller, Texas, Jordan Trevino, of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Gabriel Trevino (Olivia) of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister, Emma Montalvo (Braulio) of Kingsville, Texas; and numerous extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents Rafaela S. Trevino and Merced A. Trevino.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Salinas, Rick Salinas, Henry Gonzalez, RJ Berbel, Richard Calvillo, Richard Martinez, Ronnie Gonzalez, Gabriel Trevino and Leroy Montalvo.
Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home with a Rosary that same evening at 6:00 p.m. A celebration of Life mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
