Hermelinda P. Guadiano 06/11/1929 – 03/25/2021 Hermelinda P. Guadiano loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was called to rest in the house of the Lord on March 25, 2021 at the age of 91.
Daughter of Juan & Pioquinta Paez was born in San Antonio, TX on June 11, 1929. Survived by her husband of 71 years Raymond P. Guadiano Sr. and children Richard, Rose Marie Aleman, Albert Sr. (Estella), David Sr. (Letty), Steven (Terry), Phillip (Anita) and Raymond Jr. as well as 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
While raising 7 children she also had a career as a nurse’s aide at the Robert B. Green and Bexar County Hospitals as well as several doctors’ offices. She was also involved in countless PTA meetings, a Scout Den Mother, and who can have so many children without also being an excellent cook. She enjoyed going dancing with her husband and their beloved compadres and only after their 50th wedding anniversary went on several cruises which she enjoyed even though she was afraid of the water.
She always maintained a positive frame of mind and believed in the basic goodness of all individuals – she believed that we are made in the image of God and are born with the purpose of glorifying and serving our Savior Lord Jesus Christ, as well as those in need. She encouraged all to “do your best in everything you do”, to believe in God, to be kind to one another and the importance and strength of the family bond.
We take solace in knowing that she walks among angels on golden streets in heaven. We will miss her immensely until we meet her again in the presence of God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Her memory will live on forever in our hearts and in our minds.
