Jack R. Paddie Sr.

Jack R. Paddie, Sr., beloved husband, father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather went unto our Lord on August 10, 2018, at the age of 83 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on August 18, 1934, in Gorum, LA to John & Alice Paddie. Jack was a well-known fiddle player in both the Bluegrass and Country and Western music industry, who was always in demand. He was a very outgoing and loving man who loved to play for all. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed his friendships with people from all backgrounds.

Mr. Paddie was preceded in death by his wife Georgeanna Paddie in 2011, and his baby son “Robby” and grandson Jack III.

He is survived by his sons, Jack, Jr. and his wife Tammy and Ron and his wife Martha; one granddaughter Faith; four great-grandchildren, Kailee, Maley, Liam, and Kennedy; brothers Leroy and Louis Paddie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM, Thursday, August 16, 2018 with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
