Maria Maisonet Vargas

Maria Vargas, 81, went to be with her Lord on April 10, 2018. She was born in Santurce Puerto Rico to Armando Maisonet and Belen Padilla on August 17, 1936. Maria had many hobbies including ceramics, painting, and crocheting. She loved to travel, listen to music and dancing, and was a hair stylist for many years. Maria is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Juan N. Vargas. She is survived by her children: Magda, John, Marivel, Anthony, Alfonso, and Javier; sister: Francis Landin; grandchildren: Melissa, Fabian, John Paul, Catherine, Cassaundra, Joy, Melody, Anthony Jr., Lisa, Miguel, Megan, Evangelina, Joshua, Jacob, and Matthew; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; various Uncles and Aunts from Puerto Rico. Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral procession will depart on Friday, April 13, 2018 from Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at Christ the King Catholic Church 2623 Perez St., with interment to follow at San Fernando II.
