She was a long-time member of Coker United Methodist Church an avid bridge player and square danced with The Bexar Squares. Prior to moving to San Antonio in 1980 Mary and her family resided in Corpus Christi for 27 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, T. J. Dixon and her son Doug Dixon. Mary is survived by daughter, Sue Marcum of San Antonio and grandsons, Mitchell Marcum of Jackson, MS and Travis Marcum of Austin, TX. Also, she is survived by daughter-in-law, Marilyn Dixon and grandsons, Keith Dixon and Jamon Dixon of Lubbock, TX.
