Paula L. Hillsberry

Hillsberry, Paula Lea was born on January 25, 1943 to Kenneth I. and Nadine Lucille Jung. She was the oldest of four children. Paula was very diverse in her achievements in school in Okarche, Oklahoma, excelling in Basketball, choir, yearbook, and student government. She attended Oklahoma City University where she was a Music major. It was when she was at OCU that she met her future husband, Jerl Dale Hillsberry. They were married on February 1, 1963. To this union two daughters were born. Lea Ann was born March 6, 1966 and Merrie Lynn December 8, 1967. Paula and Joe made their home in San Antonio. Paula was active in her church until illness prevented her from attending. Through all that she endured, she always maintained her faith and her gentle spirit. She left her earthly body on March 15,2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Carolyn Sue. She is survived by her sister Jerry (Keith) Tippett , brother Andy Jung, daughters Lea Ann (Mallory) of Oklahoma, and Merrie Lynn (Mickey) of the home as well as nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Merrie Lynn was her best friend and caregiver during her illness. Viewing is set for Wednesday March 20, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with services set for Thursday March 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.at Sunset Funeral Home.
