Charles v Pipitone known as papa to myself and those around me, was a loving, caring individual who always tried his best to help those around him. You will be missed and I hope you are happy without the restraints an aging body incurs.

I always enjoyed talking with Charlie. Being a long time family friend I would see him at the family gatherings and events. No matter how long the time between those he would remember every detail you talked about previously. Then go to catch up with you, making sure you were doing well. He’s a great man and will be missed.

Papa was a member of the DelMar race track turf club. My favorite memories were made with him there. I would count down the days every year until we would get to go. The dress code was California chic. The family would get dressed up, sit at a covered table, order food, drink, and bet on horses. Papa taught me his way of gambling. He would get all the different magazines from the horse racing community and go with those predictions. We never won a lot of money but it was some of the best times of my life.

Thinking of all the things to remember about Charlie. The best one for me is Charlie is 93 years old, at the Del Mar Fair with Isabelle and is convinced to ride a roller coaster so like any great papa he says sure honey whatever you want. By far the coolest papa ever and absolutely the last time ridding a roller coaster saying I’m to old for this.

One of my first memories and I think my favorite comes from when I was maybe 4 years old. I woke up early Christmas morning and went down the hall of Nana’s house to find the living room floor covered in presents. As a child it looked like the presents never ended. That was Papa, always making you feel safe, protected, and completely spoiled❤️ Papa you will be missed more than words can express
