A few words to describe my Dad: he was my Dad, Father, Best Friend, Mentor, Motivator, Counselor, and my Papi.

Everyone who knew my dad knows that he always made sure anyone in his family felt welcomed, was fed if they were hungry, had a drink if they were thirsty, and even a blanket if they were cold. He was the type of person who always took his jacket off for your to wear if you needed warmth. Family for my dad was everything and included everyone. Family was everyone blood related and also included friends. My dad would do anything for his family. I remember many times without hesitation he would go fix something or help a family member out. He was just so caring and cared about everyone.

My dad most enjoyed family events, birthdays, holidays, or just to get togethers. Even during the later part of his life where he had to be inside the house, as long as he knew that his family was outside enjoying one another he was happy.

My fathers work ethic and discipline was instilled in me when I was young. For me as a young child looking at my dad work 2-3 jobs to support his family really opened my eyes to see that I had to do my best to make sure my family is taken care of. My dad supported me and motivated me throughout my lifetime, for my milestones and accomplishments in my life I owe it to my dad - enlisting in the marines (the hardest military branch), finishing college in 4 years while working PT, having a successful marriage to my beautiful wife and children, to buying my 1st car and 1st house, I owe it all to my dad. He showed me the tools and laid the foundation for my success.

I have so many wonderful memories with my dad (soccer events - pro, tv, World Cup, - kids), family get togethers, birthdays, buffets, trips, etc. I will miss you dad and have been missing you since you left us to be with god. But I know your with god now & surrounded by people who also love you: your mom, your brother and all your cousins, relatives, & friends.

Querido Hermano NEME:

The memories that we will always remember and cherish from my Tio Nemecio is the family gatherings, having BBQs at the beach, camping at the Indian Reservation and most of all watching the soccer games/boxing matches. Watching the fights with my Dad and Tio Neme was priceless! The one thing I remember the most is him always welcoming us with open arms and that big smile of his. Tio you will be missed but never forgotten! Maggie, Natty, David and all the Aparicio and Vargas family, we will have you in our thoughts and prayers.
Rest In Peace Tio Neme

My Tio Nemecio was such a kind man with a beautiful heart and an indescribable love for his family, passion for his Bolivian culture and soccer.
When I think back at my childhood I have such loving memories of always being together whether it was visiting someone's home, going out to the lake, eating delicious homemade food of course, and listening and/or dancing to Bolivian music as well.
We will miss you Tio but know that you'll always be with us in our hearts and wonderful memories. Say hi to my daddy for me, and it brings a smile to my face knowing that your reunited with him and the rest of the family and sharing stories from long ago once again and probably enjoying a beer together too!
Until we see you again. We love you Tio!

My Tio Nemecio was a very sweet man. I will always remember our family’s getting together on the weekends for boxing matches & soccer games. Those were some of the best weekends of my childhood ❤️
He was always very loving & I was very lucky to call him my godfather. I will definitely miss him very much. I love you Tio!

My Tio Neme was always a very happy, caring, and passionate person. He loved spending time with family and we could always find him cheering on his favorite San Diego sporting team and of course the Bolivian national soccer team, celebrating the victories and suffering the losses. He gave his all to everything and everyone all the time. My greatest memories with him were the family gatherings at one of our house’s and listening to stories of the past with friends family and the like. This is one of our my fondest memories with my Tio Neme out on the lake, I will never forget them and will cherish them forever. Tio I will miss you, but I know we will see each other again and continue the stories and cheering as you always did. Thank you for being you. I love you.

My Tio Nemecio was my other Dad and did so much for me throughout my life and especially in my childhood. The memories of my Tio picking me up at my moms house to take me to a San Diego Sockers game consistently for years will forever be in my heart as he was there for me when I needed it the most in my life. He was always making sure I had whatever I needed for school, food, clothes, and even soccer equipment throughout life . I was extremely blessed to have such an amazing man in my life and he will be forever missed but I know “I will see you again Tio” and we will be watching soccer games together again over some La Bella’s pizza, or some Bolivian saltenas rooting on the USA national soccer team and your beloved Bolivian National soccer team. I will keep my promise that I made to you Tio and you don’t have to worry no more as I will be taking that role now and I know you will always be looking over all of us. I love you Tio and I smile today because I know your home now next to your mom, brother, family, and friends. Heaven just got that much better Tio with you now there.
