After retiring she worked part time for the county for 13 years.
Carol loved living in the Bay Area close to Berkeley and San Francisco. She was an avid filmgoer, preferring foreign and independent films. Ethnic restaurants were always her favorite places to eat.
Her passion for travel developed early in life from family camping trips. In her later years she was able to travel to 60 countries and visit all 50 states.

Her cremated remains are to be divided between the Neptune Society’s Columbarium in San Francisco and Wyuka Cemetery, a family cemetery plot in Lincoln, Nebraska. Memorial donations may be made to homeless shelters, food banks, American Red Cross, Doctors without Borders and UNICEF. Celebrations of Carol’s life will be held at a later date.
