I worked with Gloria in the Department of Water & Power, where Gloria had a long and very successful career. I first met her when I was assigned to the Administrative Services Section of the General Services Division. We worked hard as managers to make the Section a pleasant place to work in addition to striving to do excellent work. The section became a great place to work and all of us became like family. Gloria was an anchor and a proud member of the "Fun Committee" which made sure we enjoyed our work. Gloria will always be remembered as the "Birthday Bandit" who celebrated everyone's birthday.

My wife , Linda, and I also spent a great deal of time with Gloria and George outside of DWP. We went to the "Italian Dinner Dance" every year and spent many dinners and New Years Eves with them. Gloria never wasted a moment of her life - always traveling, going to USC games, meeting with friends and family, and working with charities. She could always be depended upon to get difficult things done.

Linda and I were able to visit Gloria during her last difficult year. We often spoke about our time at DWP, USC, music, opera and Gloria's loving family. She loved and appreciated Vickie and Tony who made sure that Gloria was always well cared for. She was proud of both of them. She also loved and was proud of her grandchildren Jenny, Paul, Dominic, and Jack and spoke of them often . Gloria was always available for advice, guidance and support.

Gloria led a rich and full life and will always be remembered. Linda and I will miss her.
