Mr. Delfin D. Deguzman

Delfin Divino de Guzman was born on August 5, 1935 in Castillejos, Zambalez, Philippines. He died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on March 3, 2018, at Santa Clara, CA. Delfin was survived by his loving wife Nena DeGuzman and their six children namely Phil, Delfin Jr., Malaya, Dakila, Tagumpay and Maharlika. He was predeceased by his daughter Filipinas. He had twenty one beautiful grandchildren: Magtanggol, Jacqueline, Edgardo, Mary Grace, Philip, Eugene, Michael, Rose Ann, Timothy, Diosa, Tiquila, Nenalyn, Richard, Kevin, Juanne, Alexis, Ashley, Tracie, Kayla, Matt and Mia; and five great grandchildren Serenity, Cedrick, Jay-Ann, Kai and AJ. Delfin is the oldest child born to Emilio De Guzman and Rosalina Divino. He had one full sibling, Felicisima, and six half siblings, Jose, Fernando, Editha, Luz, Ernesto, Priscilla, Liwayway and Felipe.

Delfin served the the Philippine Army during his younger years. He was stationed in Liliw, Laguna and that’s where he met his lovely wife. In June 1985, Delfin and his wife migrated to America. Delfin and Nena worked hard in the electronics industry and they’ve successfully brought their children and children’s families here thereafter. Delfin was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who made sure that his family was properly provided for. He took pride in his family and their achievements. He enjoyed and treasured each family trips and gatherings shared with loved ones. Delfin loved watching football and basketball games. He was a big 49ners and Warriors fan. He also enjoyed watching the Filipino channel with his wife where they’ve watched all the “teleseryes” together. Needless to say, Delfin lived a full life. His loved ones will forever cherish their memories with him.
