

Margaret passed away on Friday, January 13, after a long life. She died two months short of her 100th birthday. She is survived by daughters Diane Paradiso (Larry deceased) and Marie Hilje, nephews Tony (Laura) and Frank (deceased) Gairnese; grandchildren Lia Paradiso (Jeff) and Larry Paradiso; great grandchildren Gauge and Griffin Paradiso-Pinn, and many cousins. She was a long time resident of Willow Glen, born to Frank and Myrtle Gairnese. Her only brother, Frank Garnieri, Jr., is deceased.
Margaret married her childhood sweetheart Nick in 1946. They were married for 75 years until his death in 2021. They traveled a lot as a couple and went on many family vacations to the beach and mountains. She worked as a bookkeeper for Hallin and Brookwalter for many years. Margaret was an immaculate housekeeper and prolific cook. Baking apple pies was her specialty. She hosted many celebrations and enjoyed being a great grandma.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Margaret’s life at Chapel of the Roses, Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation 9 AM – 8 PM, Saturday, February 18 and 9-10 AM, Sunday, February 19, followed by a funeral service at 10 AM. Reception to follow. The family appreciates your acts of kindness.
