She is survived by 5 children; Aureliano Jr. (Maria), Osvaldo (Rita), Luis, Jose and Carmen (Moises) Ortiz, all of San Jose CA. She is also survived by one sister, Lydia (Felipe) Vargas, nephew Phil Vargas and niece Grisette Vargas, along with a few cousins that live in Puerto Rico.
Melania also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, most of whom reside in San Jose CA
